"Here too the wood treatment is all but invisible and does not interfere with the transparency of the ripe yet cool and ultra-pure nose of red pinot fruit where the mineral influence is quite prominent. There is also a distinct stoniness to the driving and energetic middle weight plus flavors that possess controlled power before culminating in an explosive, balanced and hugely long finish. This is flat out terrific with fantastic upside potential but I caution that there is zero point in buying this without the intent to allow it to age." -Allen Meadows
