Gerard Tremblay is fifth-generation Chablis, and the domaine has the holdings to prove it—around 100 acres including Premier and Grand Cru sites—now run by son Vincent. This is the village Chablis, the heart of the range, grown on the Kimmeridgian limestone (think fossilized seashells) that gives real Chablis its electric, saline character. The 2024 is young and built for it: careful, slow pressing and fermentation in stainless steel keep everything bright, taut, and unoaked. This is classic, no-frills Chablis—the kind of bottle you reach for when you want Chardonnay that tastes like rock and oyster shell rather than butter and toast. Serve well-chilled.
