Jasper Morris MW awarded 94 points—recognition for Romaric Chavy's transformation of this seven-generation estate. When Romaric took over in 2006 at age 22, all fruit was sold to Bouchard Père et Fils. He immediately began estate-bottling, applying lessons from Domaine d'Aupilhac and Radford-Dale in South Africa and Greece. Today, 90% of the 15-hectare production is exported. The 2022 Folatières shows pale color, elegant white-fleshed citrus, nice acidity, good length. Best from 2028-2037 as it develops body. For Puligny from old vines at this quality level, the pricing remains remarkably fair.
