What importer Skurnik Wines has to say about this wine...
The soil here differs from that of all other sites in the region. At the 300 metre level, preserved calcareous, clayey marine deposits are found. This soil is similar to that of the famous Château Petrus in Pomerol, and produces an extremely dense wine, although it is difficult to work with. The elevation contributes good acidity structure also in warm vintages and late harvests.Region: Kamptal DACVineyard: Langenloiser KäferbergSoil Type: mixed compositionElevation: 310 – 345 mSlope Face: SEÉlevage: small/big wooden casksAlcohol: 13.5 %vol.Acidity: 7.1 g/lResidual Sugar: dry
