Werner Schönleber and his son Frank have built Emrich-Schönleber into one of the Nahe's most respected estates — a region that sits between the Mosel and Rheinhessen and produces Riesling with a distinctive mineral character all its own. The Monzinger Halenberg and Frühlingsplätzchen are their most celebrated sites, but the village Kabinett from Monzinger is a perfect introduction: lightly off-dry, lower in alcohol, and built with the kind of tension and mineral precision that makes German Riesling so compelling at the table. The 2021 vintage delivered freshness and purity across the Nahe.
