Right across the river from Sancerre, Pouilly Fumé can offer a slightly more decadent expression of Sauvignon Blanc goodness than Sancerre, sometimes with smoky notes from the famous flint (silex) soils. Raimbault's is a bright beauty of a Sauvignon Blanc with bright acidity and some tropical fruit notes.
