"Blended of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, the 2019 Les Rocheuses has 14.5% alcohol and a pH of 3.5. Yields were 38 hectoliters per hectare this year, and the wine is being aged in French oak barriques, 20% new. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the nose sings of freshly crushed black cherries, blackberries and mulberries with suggestions of Marmite toast, smoked meats and cast-iron pan plus a waft of cracked black pepper. Full-bodied, the palate delivers bags of ripe, juicy black fruits with a sturdy frame of grainy tannins, finishing with appealing freshness and with plenty of minerals." -Robert Parker
