Primitivo from Puglia, the "heel" of Italy's boot. The name "Tratturi" references the ancient transhumance routes—trails used for centuries to move livestock between seasonal pastures. Puglia's warm climate and calcareous soils produce rich, sun-ripened Primitivo with soft tannins. Primitivo is genetically identical to California's Zinfandel.
