Le Fontane’s 2023 Calcis is a skin-contact white made from Grillo, Inzolia, and a touch of Moscato, grown on limestone soils in Chiaramonte Gulfi. The estate, launched by the Occhipinti siblings in 2022, follows organic farming and minimalist winemaking rooted in the COS family tradition.
Grapes ferment with native yeasts in concrete after 15 days of skin contact, then age 8–10 months in unlined tanks. Structured yet bright, Calcis highlights Sicily’s mineral-rich limestone terroir with clarity and balance.
