Daniel Boulle inherited 10 hectares in 1987 and began bottling his own wine in 1999; Robert Parker called it "one of the finest estates in the southern Rhône." Now 30 hectares including exceptional parcels—one in Rasteau planted in 1921. Les Galets is 60% Grenache (1970s plantings), 20% Syrah, 20% Mourvèdre from Plan de Dieu's clay-limestone and Quaternary pebbles. Biodynamic and organic certified since 2007. Fermented in concrete, no filtration. Plan de Dieu became its own AOC in 2005. This is serious southern Rhône at a fraction of Châteauneuf prices.
