Planted in the '70s, these rare, near-extinct vines with massive, gnarly trunks produce unique and fascinating fruit. In return, the wine made from them is always beguilingly complex and nuanced. To preserve natural acidity, we harvested the grapes early and foot stomped them for a three day whole cluster cold soak. This gentle maceration adds subtle texture and mouthfeel, lifted aromatics, and a gorgeous rose gold hue. A fresh and elegant wine with flavors of melon, nectarine, white tea, and pine.

100% Trousseau Gris from Fanucchi-Wood Road Vineyard in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County. The Fanucchi-Wood Road Vineyard is dry-farmed and practicing organic, with the Trousseau Gris block dating to 1981. The fruit was foot crushed and left to macerate on skins for three days before being pressed to neutral puncheons and stainless steel for fermentation. This gentle 3-day skin maceration adds subtle phenolic texture and mouthfeel, lifted aromatics, and a rose gold hue. The wine was matured in neutral puncheons and barrique before bottling. The 2024 Trousseau Gris is fresh and elegant, showing notes of melon, nectarine, white tea, and pine.
