Poulsard from several sites in Le Vernois, Quintigny, and St. Lothain, in calcareous soils strewn with ancient marine fossils. It's light and lithe on the palate, with zippy red fruit (think high-toned cranberry and raspberry rather than cherry or plum). Refreshing and elegant.
