This blanc de blancs Champagne comes from exclusively Grand Cru sites in the Cote des Blancs. To ensure maximum freshness, and a light, ethereal quality, a maximum of 10% of reserve wine is used per bottling. This practice allows the chalky minerality to shine brilliantly, and although it's a nonvintage Champagne, it's aged sur latte for typically 4-5 years rather than the standard 15 months.

Professional Reviews

Robert Parker

RP 93
"The latest release of Delamotte's NV Brut Blanc de Blancs, the house's emblematic bottling, is once again showing very well, bursting with aromas of citrus zest, freshly baked bread, nougat, crisp stone fruit and white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, ample and pillowy, with a fleshy core of fruit, bright acids and a pretty pinpoint mousse, it's a seamless, elegant wine that concludes with a flavorful finish." -Robert Parker

Wine Spectator

WS 92
"A graceful blanc de blancs, with racy, lemony acidity acting as a bright spine, backing flavors of poached apricot, biscuit, oyster shell and fresh thyme on a plushly creamy mousse."

Wine Enthusiast

WE 93
"Based on the Côte des Blancs, the Champagne home of Chardonnay, it's logical that this producer should make a fine Blanc de Blancs. This wine has all the attributes, with crisp apple and a mineral texture that is tightly prominent. This is a fine wine, just hinting at toastiness."

Champagne

Champagne boasts some of the world’s greatest luxury brands with Krug, Cristal and, of course, Dom Perignon. But it’s also home to hundreds of small dynamic producers—farmers who grow their own grapes (often organically) and make (often with natural methods) tiny amounts of pure and absolutely delicious wine that reflect the individual personalities of their villages and terroirs. Toast with these wines, for sure. But also treat them like the great wines they are: taste, drink, explore!
