Sarrazin is a great little family grower with holdings in the Chalonnaise villages Mercurey and Givry, as well as Maranges (in the Côte de Beaune). They have roots going back to the 1600s and pride themselves on working traditionally in the vines and in the cellar. They plant their vines very densely (10,000/ hectare) which limits yields. They minimize use of chemicals (farming in lutte raisonnée).
