Olek Bondonio is a small estate in Neive, in the Barbaresco zone of Piedmont, run by Alessio Bondonio. The family has farmed in the area for generations, though the current winery was established more recently when Alessio took over from his father. The estate farms approximately 4 hectares of Nebbiolo across several crus in Neive, including Starderi and Roncagliette. Roncagliette is another respected vineyard in Neive, typically producing more aromatic, elegant Barbarescos compared to the power of Starderi. Traditional winemaking: extended maceration, aging in large Slavonian oak botti, minimal intervention. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. A perfumed, refined expression of Nebbiolo from Neive.
