Best known for their soulful Dogliani wines, Chionetti brings the same organic rigor and thoughtful winemaking to their small Barolo holdings. Parussi, located in Castiglione Falletto, is a special site—east-facing, with silty soils that yield Barolo of depth, but also surprising lift.

In the cool, classically styled 2019 vintage, that duality is on full display. The wine carries its structure with grace—fine tannins, vibrant acidity, and layered aromatics of rose, tea leaf, and red fruit that evolve with time in the glass. Aging in large botti keeps the expression transparent, allowing the voice of Parussi to come through without distraction.
