Domaine de Cassiopée, led by Florent and Marine Pabiot, is quickly gaining a reputation for thoughtful, low-intervention wines that let their terroir speak. En Gerlieus is a single vineyard site, planted to old-vine Aligoté on limestone-rich soils. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in stainless steel and neutral oak, the wine balances clarity with texture.

The 2022 vintage is bright and focused, with notes of green apple, lemon zest, crushed rock, and a hint of fresh herbs. It’s taut and linear, but not severe—there’s lovely mid-palate weight and just a whisper of creaminess from time on lees.

Forget what you thought you knew about Aligoté—this is the new wave: serious, food-friendly, and full of personality. Pair it with oysters, goat cheese, or anything that appreciates a citrusy snap and a chalky finish.

"From old vines on clay and limestone 50% 35 years old 50% 80 years old. Vines 7 km to the south of Maranges. No added SO2. Tank sample.Mid lemon. Lovely bright orchard fruit apples and a touch of quince. Lovely balance between ripe fruit and acidity showing how Aligoté is benefiting from a warming climate. This is lovely."

Burgundy has long been the world's most famous wine region. But, underneath all the prestige, this region can be hard to get to know.

While Burgundy offers many great trophies from top producers in well-known villages like Vosne Romanee and Puligny Montrachet, it also offers excellent values to anyone willing to explore beyond the famous names. Our collection– one of the largest in the U.S. – has plenty of both!

From the very basics of Burgundy's regions and wines to the specific terroirs of individual single vineyards--
everything you need to know about Bourgogne is just a click away!
