Hervé Villemade farms organically in Cheverny, Loire Valley, a commitment he began after inheriting the estate in 1995. His 2023 Cheverny Rouge blends 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Gamay from varied flinty soils.

Grapes are hand-harvested, macerated mostly whole-cluster for up to 20 days, and fermented in concrete and wood vats. Bottled unfiltered with minimal sulfur, it’s a fresh, earthy Loire red.
