Domaine Patrick Noel, now run by daughter Julie at the foot of the Sancerre hill in Saint-Satur, blends Sauvignon Blanc from flinty silex, Kimmeridgian clay-limestone (terres blanches), and stony caillottes for a layered, mineral-driven white. The family descends from three centuries of Chavignol vignerons, and they bottle only estate fruit fermented with native yeasts, farming under France's HVE environmental certification. The 2023 is crisp, precise, and ready to drink. A reliable go-to for anyone who loves real Loire Sauvignon.
