Bairrada's sparkling wine heritage dates to the late 19th century when pioneers brought Champagne techniques to Portugal. The region became Portugal's first DOC for sparkling wines in 1991, and Sidonio de Sousa is among its most authentic houses. This rose is 100% Baga—Bairrada's signature red grape known for deep color, firm tannins, and vibrant acidity. Grapes are harvested early by acidity, gently pressed without crushing, and the wine undergoes traditional method secondary fermentation in bottle with extended lees aging in underground cellars. Disgorged Brut Nature with zero dosage—no sugar added. Pink-hued with fine, creamy bubbles, red fruit balanced by savory hints, dry and long-finishing. Outstanding aperitif or with seafood.
