Pierre Girardin may be young, but he’s already making waves as one of the most exciting new names in Burgundy. After working alongside his father, Vincent Girardin, Pierre set out to forge his own path—focusing on terroir transparency, precision, and minimal intervention.

His "Éclat de Calcaire" (“burst of limestone”) is a Vin de France bottling, but make no mistake: this is serious white Burgundy in everything but name. Sourced from limestone-rich parcels, the 2023 vintage is all about clarity and tension—bright green apple, lemon zest, chalk dust, and a faint whisper of white flowers. There’s no flashy new oak here, just a deft touch that lets the minerality and fine acidity drive the wine.

It’s a bottle that feels both focused and expansive—perfect for lovers of Chablis, Puligny, or anyone chasing that pure, mouthwatering line that only top-tier Chardonnay can deliver.

Pair with: oysters, poached white fish, goat cheese salad, or simply a good baguette and salted butter.

Focus On: Burgundy

Burgundy has long been the world's most famous wine region. But, underneath all the prestige, this region can be hard to get to know.

While Burgundy offers many great trophies from top producers in well-known villages like Vosne Romanee and Puligny Montrachet, it also offers excellent values to anyone willing to explore beyond the famous names. Our collection– one of the largest in the U.S. – has plenty of both!

From the very basics of Burgundy's regions and wines to the specific terroirs of individual single vineyards--
everything you need to know about Bourgogne is just a click away!
