Domaine Albert Morot has been a fixture in Beaune since 1820, crafting age-worthy, terroir-driven wines from some of the region’s finest Premier Cru sites. Les Cent-Vignes is one of Beaune’s most prized vineyards, known for producing wines that balance depth with elegance. The 2020 vintage, marked by a warm but even growing season, delivers a beautifully layered expression of Pinot Noir—both generous and precise.

Bright red cherry and wild strawberry lead the way, followed by notes of dried rose, crushed herbs, and subtle spice from well-integrated oak. The palate is structured yet refined, with fine-grained tannins and a vibrant core of acidity keeping the wine fresh. Compared to some of Beaune’s more muscular Premier Crus, Les Cent-Vignes leans toward finesse, making it enjoyable in its youth while still having the potential to age gracefully.

A natural pairing for roasted duck, coq au vin, or wild mushrooms, this is a classic Burgundy that will continue to evolve beautifully over the next 10–15 years. Decant if drinking young to allow its complexity to fully emerge.

"This 1.27-hectare vineyard (3 acres) is located at the bottom of the slope. It enjoys a soil composed mainly of clay and loams. Pottery fragments found in this vineyard show that this was a farming settlement in Gallo-Roman times. After the farm disappeared, the site remained without vines for a long time before being planted again. “Sanvignes” [vineless] then changed to “Cent-Vignes” [hundred vines] – since a plot with vines cannot be “Vineless”! These reds are remarkable for their colour and the delicacy of their aromas. In the mouth, they combine complexity with mellowness."
