Bukolyi Marcell is one of Hungary’s rising stars, crafting expressive, terroir-driven wines from the volcanic slopes of Eger. Köves (meaning “stony”) is a blend of native and international varieties, organically farmed and minimally handled in the cellar to highlight the region’s mineral-rich soils.

Golden apple, pear, and citrus blossoms lead, followed by hints of thyme, wet stone, and a touch of smoke from the volcanic terroir. The palate is precise yet textured, with lively acidity keeping everything taut and focused. Unlike richer Hungarian whites, Köves leans into restraint and tension, offering complexity without heaviness.
