Clos Floridène is a benchmark name in white Bordeaux—founded by the legendary Denis Dubourdieu, the estate has helped define the modern style of Graves Blanc: fresh, structured, and deeply mineral. Located on a ridge of limestone and gravel in the southern Graves, it’s one of the rare Bordeaux whites that consistently over-delivers for the price.

The 2022 is a classic blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, fermented and aged partially in oak, with regular lees stirring. The result is beautifully textured and layered: lemon curd, white peach, and green herbs wrapped in a creamy mid-palate, lifted by Graves’ signature stony tension. The Sémillon adds quiet depth and aging potential, while the Sauvignon keeps things vivid and bright.

This is white Bordeaux with Chablis-like backbone and a little white Burgundy polish—perfect for seafood, richer poultry, or aging a few years to watch it evolve.

Pair with: crab cakes, roast chicken with tarragon, or a cheese board with soft-ripened goat cheese.
