Laurent Tribut, the son-in-law of the legendary Dauvissat family, works in the same restrained, terroir-first style: long élévage in old oak, native yeast fermentation, and zero flash. Beauroy sits on the left bank of the Serein, where clay-limestone soils and gentle slopes give a touch more roundness to Chablis’ usual tension. The 2022 vintage captures that balance perfectly—generous but never soft, with precision etched into every layer.

The wine opens with lemon peel, crushed oyster shell, and faint herbal notes, all wrapped around a core of stony, saline energy. There’s texture from the élevage, but no oak flavor—just weightless structure and a clean, lingering finish. It’s not loud, but it’s deeply expressive, and built to evolve beautifully over 5–10 years.

A natural pairing for shellfish, simply prepared fish, or anything that benefits from brightness and cut. For Chablis fans who prize clarity and calm power, Tribut’s Beauroy is a quiet standout.

Antonio Galloni

"A whiff of exotic fruit lurks in the background of the aromas of mostly white peach, apricot and sea breeze. The rich and beautifully textured medium weight flavors possess notably better depth on the sneaky long and balanced finale that is noticeably firmer." -Vinous

Focus On: Burgundy

Burgundy has long been the world's most famous wine region. But, underneath all the prestige, this region can be hard to get to know.

While Burgundy offers many great trophies from top producers in well-known villages like Vosne Romanee and Puligny Montrachet, it also offers excellent values to anyone willing to explore beyond the famous names. Our collection– one of the largest in the U.S. – has plenty of both!

From the very basics of Burgundy's regions and wines to the specific terroirs of individual single vineyards--
everything you need to know about Bourgogne is just a click away!
