Domaine Santa Duc has long been one of the benchmarks for Gigondas—working organically and biodynamically across a wide range of terroirs, with a focus on site expression and finesse over weight. “Aux Lieux-Dits” is their signature blend, pulling from eight distinct vineyards across the appellation, each contributing a layer to the final wine.

The 2021 vintage is cooler and more restrained than some recent years, which plays right into the house style. It opens with wild herbs, black raspberry, and cracked pepper, framed by fine tannins and a mineral-driven core. There’s plenty of Southern Rhône warmth, but it’s carried on a backbone of acidity and structure rather than sheer ripeness. Fermented with whole clusters and aged mostly in large, neutral oak, the wine stays focused, savory, and built to age.
