Mosconi sits on the southern slope of Monforte, where deeper soils and a warmer exposition yield Barolos known for depth, structure, and brooding power. In the hands of Chiara Boschis—a trailblazer for organic farming and gentle precision in Barolo—this intensity finds balance. Her 2019 Mosconi is as serious as the site demands, but never heavy.

The vintage delivers firm tannins and tightly woven fruit, but there’s lift too—rose, balsamic notes, and a mineral line that runs from start to finish. Aged in lightly used barrique and made in small quantities, it’s a wine that speaks softly, but with full authority.

Mosconi is always one of the darker Barolos in Boschis’ lineup, but here, its structure is sculpted, not showy. This is Barolo for the cellar—and for those who value tension as much as depth.
