Petit Manseng is very well suited to the heavy clay soils and humid climate of the area - retaining high acidity while accumulating sugar through the growing season. Because of frost damage in 2020, Early Mountain sourced additional fruit outside of their estate vineyard from like-minded growers in central Virginia The grapes go through an extended, natural fermentation in a combination of oak puncheon, foudre, concrete, and large acacia barrels, producing a wine of texture, structure, and intensity. 13.9% abv.
