Giuseppe Rinaldi, Barolo Brunate Le Coste, 2008
is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Giuseppe Rinaldi’s Brunate Le Coste is pure, unfiltered Barolo history. Before the vineyard labeling rules changed in 2010, this blend of two legendary crus—Brunate and Le Coste—was the calling card of Rinaldi’s deeply traditional style: no barriques, long macerations, wild aromatics, and powerful structure built to age.
The 2008 vintage is now in a beautiful place. The wine still holds its core of firm Nebbiolo tannin, but the fruit has softened into layers of dried cherry, rose petal, truffle, orange peel, and dusty earth. There’s that classic Rinaldi tension between elegance and wildness—refined and untamed all at once, with the kind of depth that only time and traditional winemaking can deliver.
Brunate brings perfume and roundness, while Le Coste adds grip and darkness. Together, they make a Barolo that unfolds over hours, not minutes, and rewards every bit of attention you give it. This isn’t a flashy wine—it’s soulful, serious, and deeply rooted in Barolo’s past.
Perfect with braised meats, truffled anything, or just a long evening with the kind of friends who get why this bottle matters.
