The 2022 vintage brings a beautiful balance of ripeness and structure, with fruit sourced from both granite-rich hillside vineyards and deeper, clay-limestone soils.

Blackberry, plum, and cassis form the core, lifted by notes of violets, cracked black pepper, and a hint of smoked meat. The tannins are firm yet polished, giving the wine an elegant structure, while a streak of granite minerality adds depth and length. It’s unmistakably Rhône but with the grace and precision that define Chave’s wines.

A fantastic introduction to top-tier Saint-Joseph, Offerus is drinking beautifully now with decanting but will reward a few years in the cellar. Pair it with roasted lamb, duck confit, or a hearty mushroom dish for a perfect match.
