From the volcanic hills of Piglio in Lazio, La Visciola works without chemicals, without additions, and without apology. Ju Lattaro is their deepest expression of Cesanese, drawn from old bush-trained vines rooted in black volcanic sand and farmed by hand. No sulfur, no filtering—just grape, time, and trust.

The 2019 vintage is brooding but beautifully textured: wild herbs, black cherry, crushed rock, and the kind of tannins that feel sculpted rather than raw. Fermented spontaneously and aged in concrete and old wood, it moves with energy and earthiness in equal measure.

Cesanese is often under the radar, but Ju Lattaro makes a strong case for its complexity—especially when grown and made with this kind of care. A wine that speaks softly but carries depth.
