Over four years of aging before release—months fermenting on lees in neutral oak barrels, then a minimum of 36 months on lees in bottle—this Brut Nature from Fred Loimer represents Austrian sparkling wine at its most ambitious. The Grosse Reserve tier demands hand-harvesting and extended bottle fermentation, and Loimer exceeds even those standards. A blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Gris from the Kamptal's diverse geological formations, the wine reveals layers of stone fruit and citrus balanced by salty minerality and herbal complexity. Zero dosage lets the terroir speak without sweetness. This is Austrian Sekt that stands shoulder to shoulder with great Champagne.

Fred Loimer comes from a long Langenlois winemaking family in Austria's Kamptal, where he oversees 85 hectares of biodynamically farmed vines. Known for bright, electric Grüner Veltliner and Riesling, Loimer's also been making internationally excellent sparkling wine since 2013. A pillar of Austrian quality.
