Named for a stray dog that followed founders Charles Brain and Walker Brown on a hundred-mile trek along South Africa's Wild Coast, Lubanzi is a certified social enterprise that donates fifty percent of net profits to The Pebbles Project, providing health and educational resources to vineyard worker communities. The wine itself—one hundred percent hand-picked Swartland Chenin Blanc, fermented with natural yeasts and aged on the lees—is bright with ripe melon, pear, white peach, and lemon peel, carried by clean minerality. In a 355ml can, it's portable, sustainable, and priced to share. This is serious Chenin Blanc in a format designed for the beach, the park, or anywhere a corkscrew feels like overkill.
