Niepoort has always played by its own rules, and Twisted Branco is no exception. While many Portuguese whites lean on simple freshness, this blend from high-altitude Douro vineyards adds unexpected layers of depth and texture. Sourced from a mix of native varieties—including Rabigato, Codega do Larinho, and Gouveio—this is a wine that balances bright acidity with a surprisingly structured, almost Burgundian feel.

The 2022 vintage is electric, with zesty citrus, green apple, and pear lifted by a distinct saline minerality. Compared to a classic Vinho Verde, Twisted Branco has more weight and complexity, but it never loses its sense of energy. A touch of lees aging brings a gentle roundness, softening the edges while keeping everything crisp and lively.
