Founded in 1983 by the Massoud Family, Paumanok works 85 acres of vineyard on North Fork's Route 25. They're the original and leading producer of Chenin Blanc in New York State—their Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay are equally serious. The reds (Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot) prove North Fork can do Bordeaux varietals with elegance.
