Styria makes some of the most electric, mineral Sauvignon Blanc on earth, and Sattlerhof is one of the names that put it on the map. This is their village bottling from Gamlitz in Austria's Sudsteiermark, drawn from steep slopes of crystalline quartz sand and mica between roughly 350 and 450 meters. Starting with the 2021 vintage, the estate is certified biodynamic through respekt-BIODYN. A few hours of skin contact and aging in stainless steel keep it bone-dry and vivid. Think of it as a razor-sharp, savory alternative to the usual Sauvignon suspects.
