Vouette et Sorbée’s “Textures” is Champagne, but not like you’re used to. Made from 100% Pinot Blanc—a rarely seen grape in the region—and given skin contact, this is Champagne meets orange wine, all filtered through Bertrand Gautherot’s biodynamic lens.

The R20 edition (base 2020) is electric and wild: tangerine peel, white tea, almond skin, and a savory, chalky grip that stays long after the bubbles fade. It’s aged in amphora (yes, clay), fermented with native yeasts, and bottled without dosage, fining, or filtration. The result is raw but refined, a wine that’s all about texture and energy.

“Textures” drinks more like Jura crémant crossed with Champagne than anything you’ll find in Reims—and that’s the point. This is natural Champagne for wine lovers who want edge, depth, and a story in every glass.

Serve it cool, not icy cold, and pair it with funky cheeses, crispy poultry, or anything you’d serve with pét-nat or skin-contact whites. Or just open it with friends and see where it takes you.
