"The NV Brut Expression is a beautiful wine. A fine line of acidity runs through the Expression, lending notable brightness and cut throughout. Orchard fruit, spice, mint and dried flowers are all beautifully delineated in a Champagne that impresses for its transparency and cut. I loved it. This release is a blend of 2015 and 2014. Dosage is 5 grams per liter. Disgorged: December, 2019." —Vinous

Robert Parker

"Disgorged in November 2019, the new release of Geoffroy's NV Brut Expression delivers an inviting bouquet of pear, yellow apples, fresh pastry and hints of honeycomb, much like its July 2019-disgorged predecessor. Medium to full-bodied, bright and incisive, it's a chiseled, precise wine with a charming core of fruit, bright acids and a pinpoint mousse, concluding with a delicately chalky finish." —Robert Parker

Wine Spectator

"Bright and elegant, this well-knit, aperitif-style Champagne offers lively acidity and a fine bead, with floral overtones and a focused palate of poached pear, chalk, candied kumquat and passion fruit."

More about R Geoffroy

Vallée de la Marne grower where Jean-Baptiste Geoffroy, fifth generation, stewards 14 hectares. The family pivoted to Champagne production after WWII when they couldn't sell grapes to big houses. Now their Expression and Rosé de Saignée show why grower Champagne beats negotiant every time.

Champagne

Champagne boasts some of the world’s greatest luxury brands with Krug, Cristal and, of course, Dom Perignon. But it’s also home to hundreds of small dynamic producers—farmers who grow their own grapes (often organically) and make (often with natural methods) tiny amounts of pure and absolutely delicious wine that reflect the individual personalities of their villages and terroirs. Toast with these wines, for sure. But also treat them like the great wines they are: taste, drink, explore!
