Professional Reviews

Antonio Galloni

AG 93
"The NV Brut Blanc de Blancs Conversation Grand Cru is a terrific introduction to the range. It is a wine of tremendous breadth and real character, all of which comes through pretty much upon opening. This release is based on 2014, with a 20% 2013 reserve wines from vineyards in Mesnil, Oger and Avize. Chardonnay flavors are kicked up a few notches in this decidedly vinous, powerful Blanc de Blancs. Dosage is 5 grams per liter. Disgorged: October 16, 2019." -Vinous

Robert Parker

RP 90
"Disgorged in April 2018, the current release of Vergnon's NV Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Conversation continues to exhibit a charming nose of toasted coconut, green apples and ripe lemons. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, with racy acids, a youthfully frothy mousse and a pure, chalky finish. Expressive and open, it's drinking well today." -Robert Parker

Champagne

Champagne boasts some of the world’s greatest luxury brands with Krug, Cristal and, of course, Dom Perignon. But it’s also home to hundreds of small dynamic producers—farmers who grow their own grapes (often organically) and make (often with natural methods) tiny amounts of pure and absolutely delicious wine that reflect the individual personalities of their villages and terroirs. Toast with these wines, for sure. But also treat them like the great wines they are: taste, drink, explore!
