"Pale straw-yellow. Restrained aromas of pineapple, orange and candied lemon complicated by honey and white truffle seem a bit masked today by an element of reduction. A step up in acidity and mineral energy from the previous wines, showing fresh, fruit-driven flavors of yellow fruits and candied lemon. Nicely concentrated and persistent. The crop level here was just 25 hectoliters per hectare, according to Javillier." -Stephen Tanzer

"The 2013 Meursault Cuvée Tête de Murger was affected by the hail and so the crop was severely reduced. What survived has a succinct bouquet with apple blossom and light apricot scents that are tightly coiled at the moment. The palate is rounded on the entry with very well-judged acidity lending tension and poise. There is a sense of harmony pervasive through this Meursault, with a lovely dash of white pepper enlivening the finish. This may turn out to be one of Patrick's best 2013s." -Neal Martin
