A pioneer of the grower Champagne movement. Francis Egly took over in 1982 and—alongside friend Anselme Selosse—was among the first to bottle 100% estate wines rather than sell to négociants. He pioneered biodynamic farming when "only a handful of growers" followed such principles. This cuvée showcases 100% Pinot Meunier from 1970 vines in Premier Cru Vrigny on sandy-chalky soils. Rated 93 by Decanter, 95 by Stelzer; awarded 3 stars by La Revue du Vin de France (just 56 domaines in all of France). Pre-arrival.
