"Here too there is a subtle application of wood setting off the darker fruit aromas of forest floor, humus and a hint of game character. There is both excellent volume and richness to the powerful and muscular larger-bodied flavors that conclude in a dusty, compact and robust finale that just avoids rusticity. This too is clearly built-to-age and a wine that's going to need at least some forbearance."

"The 2022 Morey-Saint-Denis Aux Chesaux 1er Cru is very delineated and harmonious on the nose, with blackberry and wild strawberry fruit, crushed rock and light dried rose petal scents from the whole bunches. The medium-bodied palate has a fresh, saline entry, beautifully structured with gentle grip. Darker fruit surfaces toward the finish with hints of candied orange peel and blood orange." -Vinous

Focus On: Burgundy

Burgundy has long been the world's most famous wine region. But, underneath all the prestige, this region can be hard to get to know.

While Burgundy offers many great trophies from top producers in well-known villages like Vosne Romanee and Puligny Montrachet, it also offers excellent values to anyone willing to explore beyond the famous names. Our collection– one of the largest in the U.S. – has plenty of both!

From the very basics of Burgundy's regions and wines to the specific terroirs of individual single vineyards--
everything you need to know about Bourgogne is just a click away!
