A rising star in Meursault with phenomenal holdings in the village's top crus. Charles Ballot follows the Jean-Marc Roulot school of reductive wine-making with not much emphasis on new oak.

Professional Reviews

Burghound

BH 90-93
"A cooler and much more reserved nose somewhat grudgingly reflects notes of green apple, lemon, mineral reduction and acacia blossom hints. Once again there is a lovely texture to the overtly stony and precise middleweight flavors that exhibit excellent length on the clean and markedly dry finale. This is a classic Narvaux and while it’s not especially refined, it is exceptionally good for its level. Buy it." -Allen Meadows

Antonio Galloni

AG 91-93
"The 2022 Meursault Les Narvaux comes from three different plots. The almost clinical bouquet offers lemon thyme and crushed limestone, tightly wound initially but focused and opening with time. The palate has a powerful entry, perhaps thanks to the age of the vines – a majority 45 years old, with some octogenarians. The acidity is perfectly judged with a touch of spice enhancing the refined finish. Very promising." -Neal Martin

Burgundy has long been the world's most famous wine region. But, underneath all the prestige, this region can be hard to get to know.

While Burgundy offers many great trophies from top producers in well-known villages like Vosne Romanee and Puligny Montrachet, it also offers excellent values to anyone willing to explore beyond the famous names. Our collection– one of the largest in the U.S. – has plenty of both!

From the very basics of Burgundy's regions and wines to the specific terroirs of individual single vineyards--
everything you need to know about Bourgogne is just a click away!
