What is this wine?
Camille Thiriet is one of Burgundy’s rising stars, crafting precise, small-production wines from carefully sourced fruit and minimal intervention in the cellar. “Aux Montagnes” is a lieu-dit in Comblanchien, within the Côte de Nuits-Villages appellation, planted to Pinot Noir on limestone-rich soils. The 2022 vintage was generous and balanced, producing wines with both ripe fruit and fresh energy.

Why get this wine?
This is serious Côte de Nuits-Villages from one of Burgundy’s most exciting new domaines. The vineyard sits just south of Nuits-Saint-Georges, giving structure and depth beyond what’s typical for the appellation. With tiny production and growing demand for Thiriet’s wines, this bottling offers outstanding value and access to top-quality Côte de Nuits Pinot without premier cru pricing.

What does this wine taste like?
Bright red cherry and raspberry fruit layered with subtle spice, floral lift, and a touch of earth. The limestone soils show in its minerality and fine structure. Elegant, medium-bodied, and precise, with lively acidity and silky tannins.

When should you drink this wine?
Enjoy now with a short decant to highlight its perfume, or cellar 5–8 years for added complexity. Pairs beautifully with roast chicken, duck, or mushroom dishes.
