"The 2010 Rouget has a well defined and pure bouquet with brambly red berry fruit, undergrowth and cedar developing in the glass. I appreciate the control of these aromatics. The palate is fleshy on the entry with ripe red fruit, supple and lithe with a fair bit of creamy oak on the finish that is admittedly very seductive. Enjoy over the next twelve years. Tasted blind at Farr Vintners 10-Year On Bordeaux horizontal."

"Deep garnet in color, the 2010 Rouget opens with notions of espresso, unsmoked cigars and fertile loam with a core of baked plums and mulberries plus a hint of mincemeat pie. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is firmly textured with just enough savory flavors and a chewy finish." -Lisa Perrotti-Brown

"Dense, with good mouthfeel, offering notes of velvety, warm raspberry and boysenberry confiture. Kept lively by enticing spice, anise, bergamot and mandarin orange hints. The long, clove- and charcoal-studded finish glides along impressively. Best from 2015 through 2027."
