Finca Torremilanos, one of Ribera del Duero’s oldest family-run estates, was also the first in the region to be certified biodynamic. Their 2019 Crianza comes from estate-grown vines averaging 60 years old, farmed on limestone-rich soils near Aranda de Duero. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in a mix of French and American oak for about 14 months, this wine blends tradition with precision.

The result is classic Ribera depth—black cherry, blackberry, cedar, and warm spice—with lifted aromatics, fresh acidity, and silky tannins that make it more elegant than brooding. There’s a savory undercurrent—earth, tobacco, a hint of leather—that adds depth and complexity, while the oak is well-integrated and supportive, not overpowering.

Perfect with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, or aged cheeses, Torremilanos Crianza 2019 offers a refined and eco-conscious take on one of Spain’s most iconic wine styles.

Professional Reviews

Robert Parker

RP 92
"It's a bit surprising that the 2019 Torremilanos, which is 100% Tempranillo and doesn't have any Cabernet Sauvignon, coming from a warmer and drier year, feels fresher and less ripe than the 2018 I tasted next to it, from a cooler year. They harvested earlier, and the wine has 14% alcohol (less than the 2018); the oak also feels more integrated and the wine more harmonious in general. It has an expressive nose and an almost salty feeling that calls for food. It's juicy, round and balanced. This will be released as a Reserva rather than a Crianza."
