"The 2017 Pinot Noir Alberigi is pretty shy today, which is not especially typical for this wine. I see less Russian River exuberance than is typically the case. To be sure, the 2017 was far more expressive when I tasted it a year ago. Perhaps it is going through a closed phase. Sweet tobacco, cedar, spice and floral nuances add aromatic depth, but the fruit is a bit in the background today. I would give it a few years in bottle." -Antonio Galloni
