Huré Frères is a grower Champagne estate based in Ludes, in the Montagne de Reims, known for their careful farming, long aging, and detailed blending. Their flagship cuvée, “L’Invitation”, is an Extra-Brut style that highlights balance and freshness, with just enough richness for depth.
The current bottling is based on the 2020 vintage, blended with reserve wines aged in a perpetual solera dating back to 1982. The cépage is typically close to 40% Pinot Meunier, 30% Pinot Noir, and 30% Chardonnay, sourced from estate vineyards in and around Ludes and nearby villages.
Fermentation takes place in both stainless steel and neutral barrels, and the wine is aged on lees for around 24–30 months before disgorgement. The dosage is kept low (around 3–4 g/L, Extra Brut), preserving the wine’s clarity and mineral focus.
Expect aromas of citrus peel, white flowers, toast, and orchard fruit, with a fine mousse and chalky finish. It’s a versatile grower Champagne—refreshing on its own, but structured enough for food.
