Though Boudignon has recently been generating a lot of buzz for the electrifying Savennieres and Anjou Blancs produced under his own name, he actually got his start at Soucherie, where he retains his position as winemaker.
Château Soucherie has been around as an estate since at least the 19th century, but it wasn’t until 2007, when Thibaud was hired by new owner Roger-François Begûinot, that the estate began taking the necessary steps in the vineyard and cellar required for making great wine. Viticulture has moved towards organic in recent years, and harvesting is done by hand.
