What is this wine?
Pedro Parra, often called the “rock whisperer,” is one of the world’s leading terroir specialists and a consulting soil scientist for many top domaines. With Pedro Parra y Familia, he crafts wines from old vines in Chile’s Itata Valley, one of the country’s oldest wine regions. Imaginador is made from dry-farmed, bush-trained Cinsault vines (40–80 years old) rooted in granite soils, fermented with native yeasts and minimal intervention.
Why get this wine?
This is Chile’s new wave at its best: heritage vines, artisanal farming, and transparent winemaking. While Cinsault is often used for blends, here it takes center stage—vivid, fresh, and expressive. Imaginador is both serious and approachable, bridging Old World elegance with New World energy at excellent value.
What does this wine taste like?
Light to medium-bodied, with juicy red cherry, raspberry, and cranberry, accented by violets, pepper, and a stony mineral edge. Fresh acidity and fine tannins make it lively, vibrant, and food-friendly.
When should you drink this wine?
Best enjoyed now through 2028 for its freshness and lift. Chill slightly and pair with charcuterie, grilled chicken, mushroom dishes, or Mediterranean fare.
